Why wont terminal emulator work on rooted htc desire?

I tried loads of methods for removing factory apps on my rooted device with the emulator, gave it super user permmisions and everything. I used unrEVOked and it all worked fine (screenshot apps worked), but nothing in any of the markets emulators are working.... help please?
