What happens to a CIA agent's wife if she finds out he's in the CIA?

(or husband) Will they "magically" disappear, "accidentally" have a really bad car crash or will nothing happen? Maybe she/he would just be (sternly) told to keep their mouth shut? I've always wondered this haha.
